How business work is priced

Business documents are charged by the word, not by the page, because that is what the work actually depends on. Certification is a separate service and only some documents need it.

  • Numbers, units and dosages carried over exactly, checked separately
  • Abbreviations resolved the way the source uses them, not guessed
  • A second linguist reviews the text before delivery on request
  • Confidentiality terms signed before files are shared

How we work

Send the files

Email them to b2b@taontario.ca with the language pair and your deadline. Confidentiality terms are signed first if you prefer.

Get a fixed quote

We count the actual words and quote a total, not a range, together with a delivery date.

We translate and check

One glossary for the project, and a separate check of numbers, names and references.

Delivery and follow-up

Same format, layout preserved. The glossary stays with your account for later work.

What costs time and money

Four patterns that turn a straightforward project into a slow one.

  • A dosage rewritten as a rounded numberNumbers, units and concentrations are treated as data, not as prose. They are transferred exactly and verified.
  • Terminology drifting between documentsA protocol and its consent form must use the same terms. Sent together, they are translated as one project with one glossary.
  • Scanned pages with handwritingHandwritten notes on a record are part of the document. Tell us if they matter, and send the sharpest scan you have.
  • Certification ordered by reflexBusiness medical work rarely needs a certified translation. If a regulator or an institution asks for one, we add it at the certified rate.

Questions about medical translation

How is medical translation priced?

Per word, from $0.10 to $0.20 depending on the language pair, the volume, the format and the deadline. The minimum is $99 per translation. You get an exact figure from the actual file before any work starts.

Do you sign a confidentiality agreement?

Yes. We agree confidentiality terms in writing before files are shared, and we can work under your own agreement.

Do medical documents need certification?

Business documents usually do not. Certification is for documents submitted to authorities, and it is priced separately at the certified rate.

Can you keep our terminology?

Yes. Send a glossary or previous translations and we follow them. Without one, we build a glossary during the first project and reuse it.

What formats do you accept?

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, InDesign and plain text. We return the same format, with layout preserved.

How fast can you turn a project around?

It depends on volume and language. Send the file with your deadline and we confirm a date together with the price, before you commit.
