What Translation Do I Need for Immigration to Canada (IRCC)?

When applying for Canadian immigration, permanent residence, or citizenship, any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by a professional, certified translation. We provide certified translations that are guaranteed to be accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

What is a Certified Translation?

A certified translation for IRCC includes two key components:

  • A complete and accurate translation of the original document.
  • A signed affidavit from the translator or our agency representative, attesting to the accuracy of the translation.

For most documents, IRCC also requires you to provide a notarized copy of the original document, which should be attached to our translation.
