Certified Translation for USCIS in Ontario
Filing with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services from Canada? Every document not in English has to come with a full English translation and a signed statement from the translator. That is what we prepare: $59 for a one-page document, delivered as a digital copy you can attach to the filing.
What it costs
USCIS asks for a certified translation, not for a notarized or association-certified one. The first option is what a filing needs.
Certified translation
- English translation of the full document, nothing summarized
- Signed statement of the translator's competence and the translation's accuracy
- Translator's name, signature and date, as USCIS expects
- Digital copy you can attach to the filing
ATIO certified translation
- Only when a Canadian institution asks for ATIO by name
- USCIS does not ask for it
- Takes longer than a regular certified order
Notarized translation
- Sworn declaration before a commissioner attached
- For consulates and institutions that require notarization
- USCIS accepts a certified translation without it
Prices do not include HST. Certified PDF free, hard copy by Canada Post free, both together $15. The exact price is confirmed after we see your files, and you pay only after you approve it.
What a USCIS translation contains
The certification wording is the part that gets checked. Every order includes all of this.
- A complete English translation of the document, including stamps and seals
- A statement that the translator is competent to translate from the source language
- A statement that the translation is accurate and complete
- The translator's name, signature and the date
- A copy of the original attached to the translation
- Digital delivery, so the file can go straight into the filing

Why USCIS translations get questioned
Four things account for most of the rework.
- A summary instead of a translationUSCIS expects the full document rendered, including seals, stamps and marginal notes.
- No certification statementA translation without the translator's signed statement is not a certified translation.
- A family member as translatorThe certification has to come from the translator who did the work, not from the applicant or a relative.
- Names that do not match the passportSend the passport page so the spelling in the translation matches the rest of the filing.
