ATIO-Certified Translation

ATIO-Certified Translation in Ontario for OINP, ServiceOntario, PEO and More

What is an ATIO-certified translation?

ATIO is the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario. Only members who have passed its certification examination may call themselves a Certified Translator and use the association's seal. An ATIO-certified translation carries that translator's stamp and signature, together with their certification number.

The practical difference: a translation stamped by a Certified Translator is accepted by most federal and provincial bodies without a separate notarisation, so you do not pay for a notary or a commissioner for oaths on top. A standard certified translation is prepared with our own certificate of accuracy and is accepted by IRCC and most institutions - it is the default and the cheaper option.

Ontario: ATIO-certified from $109 + HST, usually 3 business days. Ask for ATIO only when the receiving institution requires it - upload your document and we will confirm which certification you actually need before you pay.

ATIO-certified translation is the higher-certification route for organizations that explicitly require a translator certified by the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario. It is not the default choice for every official document, so the key is to order it when the receiving body specifically asks for ATIO or an Ontario-certified translator.
