To exchange your foreign driver's licence for a Canadian one at a DriveTest Centre, you need to provide an official certified translation in English or French.
Ontario: An expensive ATIO-certified translation is no longer mandatory to exchange a driver's licence. According to the official DriveTest website, a regular certified translation is sufficient. If a DriveTest agent mistakenly requires an ATIO translation, you can refer them to their own guidelines.
Quebec: An ATIO-certified translation is required for driver's licences in Quebec. Please inform your project manager that the translation is for use in Quebec.
You can visit one of our offices in Toronto or Ottawa, or order online through our order form. The finished translation can be picked up at our office or mailed to any address in Canada at no cost via Canada Post.
